LUDWIGs is a reflection of Tübingen's city centre: lively, charming and varied. Trendy on the one hand and traditionally rooted on the other. Here you can relax and enjoy yourself - the LUDWIGs cosmos in our restaurant in Tübingen is just as diverse as the menu. Students alternate with tourists, business people meet visitors to the many events that the city has to offer. On the menu, it is the mix of grilled king prawns and Swabian dumpling soup or the vegan superfood bowl and a juicy entrecôte that provide culinary excitement.

There's a lot going on in Tübingen: And Ludwigs is right in the centre of it all as a culinary and cool hotspot. This is where people meet. This is where you treat yourself to a break. Whether it's around the many events that take place throughout the year, such as the Dance into May or the Halloween party, concerts as part of the Jazz and Classical Days or the New Year's Eve party. At Ludwigs, not only does your ‘breakfast around the world’ await you with a Parisian breakfast, Alpine breakfast, Swiss breakfast, American breakfast, Italian breakfast and Oriental breakfast, but also pretty much everything that creative breakfast cuisine has to offer, from vegan breakfast bowls and various egg dishes to the classic cappuccino with croissant!

Breakfast at LUDWIGs

LUDWIGs is the perfect location for parties and celebrations for up to 120 people, from dream weddings, Christmas and birthday parties to christenings, family celebrations and business receptions. Various rooms are available for this purpose. LUDWIGs consists of the dining room on the ground floor, a gallery and the two outdoor areas, the sun deck in the sheltered rear courtyard and the street café. There is also the former Uhlandstube and today's vinotheque. The gallery area can accommodate up to 40 people and the vinotheque up to 60 guests.

Parties and celebrations

In the evening, LUDWIGs is the Tübingen melting point par excellence. After business, after an event, after an exciting day of sightseeing or simply after a relaxing day at home: there's always something going on at LUDWIGs! The menu of the restaurant, which is part of the Hotel Krone Tübingen, delights with varied and colourful delicacies from the antipasti plate and salmon tartare as starters to the classic Wiener Schnitzel, a vegan Buddha Bowl and fine fish and steak dishes in the main course to the orange tart or the classic apple strudel with vanilla ice cream as a little sweet temptation - to name just a small excerpt from the varied menu!

To the menu

The drinks menu also leaves nothing to be desired. Homemade lemonades, juices, iced teas and spritzers alternate with a large selection of coffees and teas or an extensive wine and beer list. So a sociable drink in good company or a coffee party with friends is always an option at Cafe Bar LUDWIGs in Tübingen.

A little happiness is a must. And a glass of wine in honour! Ludwigs Vinothek, the former Uhlandstube restaurant in the Hotel Krone in Tübingen, takes you on a vinophile journey around the world with a large selection of wines. Of course, the regional wine regions of Baden and Württemberg are well and extensively represented, as are many other great German wines. But the Alpine region with its Austrian, Italian and French specialities also inspires with many positions to compete with the new world for the most exciting nuances!

The former Uhlandstube is now also used for parties and receptions - and offers 40-60 seats or alternatively 60 seats for a standing reception!
